ASK Automotive To Expand Product Range

ASK Automotive is planning to expand its portfolio to manufacture friction products for passenger vehicles and commercial manufacturers. The Gurgaon based company which currently specialises in two- wheelers is also looking to partner with more players in the segment.
“We are in discussions with some top level domestic players for our next strategic move,” Aman Rathee, Director, ASK Automotive, said.
The company is already producing and exporting friction products for passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles to markets in Europe, the US, Middle East and Africa.
ASK Automotive, which has Honda, HeroMoto Corp, Maruti Suzuki, TVS, Yamaha, Bajaj, Brembo, Suzuki, Mahindra, Magneti Marelli, Denso, UFI Filters, Piaggio, Stanley Black and Decker as its customers plans to add to the list as it expands its footprint in the four- wheeler segment.
“We already have leading global players in our extensive customer list and further intend on strengthening it over the next few years,” Rathee added.
ASK Automotive has rather diverse product range for both two and three- wheeler as well as passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle segment.
The product range includes brake shoes, disc brake pads, clutch shoes and clutch plates for two wheelers; disc brake pads and brake shoes for passenger vehicles; brake shoes and clutch plates for three wheelers; ECE-R90 approved CV brake lining and disc brake pads; aluminium pressure die casted parts and friction- free control cables for two wheelers and passenger vehicles.
With the plan to stay ahead, the company focuses extensively on creating next generation research and development facilities and design centres which manufacture world-class products. It is also working towards developing and testing futuristic products which meet environmental standards of as far as 2025.
ASK has invested on creating state-of- the-art, fully automatic R&D and Design facilities, as well as 12 manufacturing units spread over 1.25 million sq. feet area across India.
“We established our first plant in 1989 at Gurugram and have gone on to build 11 more plants at important industrial centres such as Gurugram, Manesar, Bangalore, Gujarat and Haridwar, employing over 6,100 people,” Rathee explained. All the 12 plants have been oriented to meet the goal of delivering quality products ensuring the best performance in the industry. “As we grow our customer base we will also expand,” he added.
