The fifth edition of Tyrexpo, the annual event in the Indian tire industry, begins at the Chennai Trade Centre on Tuesday. Satish Sharma, chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association of India has formally inaugurated the show. Over 3,000 industry leaders from India and neighboring countries are expected to attend the show. Visitors to the event will get a chance to explore new business opportunities and network as well as to exchange information on products, ideas and technologies that are relevant with regard to India’s tire market.
The 2017 edition of the Tyrexpo India series will run from 11 to 13 July and visitors can enjoy a number of interactive and educative seminars like the established TyreTalk and GarageTalk seminars. Leading Indian and foreign companies including BKT, Linglong Tyres, Oriental Carbon and Chemicals Ltd and L&T Rubber Processing are the other key participants.
On July 12, there will be a panel discussion on e-commerce and online retailing which will be helmed by Kaushik Madhawan from Frost & Sullivan as well as an overview of tire testing according to Indian and International Regulations by Siddharth Tripathi from the International Centre of Automotive Technology. Other speakers include Titash Mondal from Momentive performance materials and Rahul Joshi.
The Tyre & Rubber Industry Leadership Acknowledgement (TRILA) Awards will also be held on Wednesday afternoon. Tyrexpo India is part of a series of events being held in India, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom to advance the tire and auto repair industries in these countries.
