MG Group bags order for 250 buses for MSRTC

India’s largest privately owned Bus Building Company, MG Group has handed over the first ‘Shivshahi’ bus to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) during Prawaas 2017 in Navi Mumbai. In total MG Group has bagged an order for the delivery of 250 buses.

Under this association, MG Group was responsible for exclusive conceptualisation and further manufacturing of the Luxury AC Seater buses for MSRTC. The composites and some bus electronic components were made in house by MG Composites and MG Grey Engine.

“Road transport has played an important role in connecting the cities to rural areas and smaller towns in India. Our association with MSRTC is a step towards providing, ‘convenience and comfort’ to consumers, especially those residing in remote areas. Our aim is to offer world class solutions to our partners, which are designed and developed by MG in keeping sync with Indian market requirements,” said Anil M Kamat, Managing Director, MG Group.
