Hyundai unveils ‘The Next Gen Verna’ in India

Hyundai Motor India Limited, India’s second largest car manufacturer and leading passenger car exporter, has unveiled ‘The Next Gen Verna’ with Super Body structure. The booking has started at all the dealerships across India.
The sedan is slated for launch on August 22, 2017.The pricing of the car in the entry and mid segment will be below Rs 10 lakh. The company targets to sell 4000 to 4500 Next-Gen Vernas per month in India. The vehicle is positioned in the mid and high C-segment which has a volume of 12,000 units per month.

The car was developed with an investment of Rs 1040 crore. Hyundai will start exports of Verna from India starting next year. The anticipated exports is 80,000 units per year. The Next Gen Verna is a technological marvel developed with futuristic design, dynamic performance, super safety and new technology and advanced features.

Verna is Hyundai’s globally successful model with over 8.8 million customers in over 66 countries and 3.17 lakh units were sold in India. The Next-Gen Verna is equipped with the most powerful options with a choice of two power packed 1.6 litre Dual VTVT petrol and 1.6 litre U2 CRDi VGT diesel engine. The petrol engine offers 123PS power with high fuel efficieny and diesel engine offers best in segment 128PS power, the company said.
