Samvardhana Motherson enters into new business vertical

Auto ancillary group Samvardhana Motherson has acquired MS Global India from Korea based MS Group. Following the acquisition, Samvardhana Motherson will enter into Sheet Metal parts with a focus on hot stamping, a light-weighting technology for high strength Sheet Metal parts. This technology enables light-weighting of vehicles and has major uses in Electronic Vehicles. MS Global India has the exclusive license to use MS Group’s hot stamping technology in India.

MS Global is a Tier 1 supplier to leading global commercial vehicle OEMs with the manufacturing facility in Chennai, India. It is also engaged in Cabin-in- White (Pressed Sheet Metal business) and frames for chassis for Commercial Vehicles. Samvardhana is a major supplier to all major car manufacturers globally.
