The second edition of Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX 2018), organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), will be held at Auto Cluster, Pune, India from September 27 – 30, 2018. The expo will feature exhibitors displaying technology and innovations in metal cutting and metal forming. The IMTMA is the apex body and single point of contact for machine tool industry in India.
“Automotive sector is the largest consumer of machine tools. We have substantial number of members from western region based in Pune as this is one of the major markets for them. A show like PMTX will be a great enabler for business development of machine tools in this region,” said P. Ramadas, President, IMTMA.
Pune is known as the Detroit of western India. The city is base to a large number of industries in automotive, heavy engineering, aerospace, defence, ordnance and many other manufacturing segments.
“New and emerging technologies are the need of the hour for the development of any manufacturing industry. IMTMA will bring these technologies closer to the door steps of manufacturing industries in this region through PMTX. The show will support not only the OEMs in automotive sector but also other major engineering industries in the region to upgrade their manufacturing capabilities,” said V Anbu, Director General and CEO, IMTMA.
The first edition of Pune Machine Tool Expo was held at the same venue in 2016. It had recorded an overall footfall of over 7000 visitors. IMTMA hopes to surpass this in the second edition. For details click here
