The fifth Asian Tyre and Rubber Conference (ATRC2019), the premier global tyre industry event on the theme “Automation Technology: Future Reality in Manufacturing” is getting into the final shape. The event has already set a new record. ATRC 2019 has so far attracted over 215 delegates, the biggest ever and counting. The largest attendance till date was around 200 participants, which shows the importance of this unique episode of ATRC this year. Only two weeks left for the landmark event, which has now attained its final shape.
Anant Goenka, Managing Director of CEAT Tyres will inaugurate the two-day conference at Hyatt Regency in Chennai, India, on June 20, and deliver the Keynote Inaugural Address.
Kamal Bali, Managing Director and Member of Board, Volvo India, will be Special Invitee at the event. He will deliver the Special Invitee Address in the Inaugural Session. Harm Voortman of VMI, Holland, will deliver the Opening Address.
ATRC 2019, organized by Tyre Asia magazine from Asian Business Media (ABM), will have six Technical Sessions chaired by industry veterans and papers presented by global experts in the field. Experts from the leading automobile manufacturers also will be part of the event.
To add flavour to the premier event academicians join industry leaders with enriching sessions. They take the lead on day 2 (June 21) of the conference on the session on ‘Enhancement of Tyre performance through material technology’.
Prof. Sabu Thomas, Vice Chancellor, MG University, Kottayam, Kerala will deliberate on ‘Rubber Nano Technology in Tyre Engineering’. Dr Nikhil K. Singha, FRSC, Professor & Head Rubber Technology Centre, IIT, Kharagpur will speak on ‘Advanced Functional Elastomers in Tyre Application’. Sujit Nair, Vice President R&D Centre, Ceat Ltd will be the Chairman for the session. The other two speakers at the session are Colin Clarke, Director Technical Sales, Struktol on ‘Better processing and properties for natural rubber, achieving the win-win with Struktol Process Additives’ and Dr J.C. Nian, Senior Director of Technical Service Asia, Evonik United Silica Industrial Ltd on ‘Advanced silica and silanes system for tire and rubber applications’.
