JAI launches Trailer Mechanical Suspension with Lift Axle

Jamna Auto Industries Ltd. (JAI), the world’s No. 2 leaf spring manufacturing company, has launched Trailer mechanical suspension with (and without) lift axle along with lift axle allied components in Goa, India.
The company will sell the Trailer assemblies, Lift Axles and its allied products in Indian replacement markets.

R.S Jauhar, Vice Chairman, JAI said “JAI has been an iconic brand for years and has always provided best-in-class quality products, which is why JAI has more than 70 percent OEM share in leaf spring in the CV industry. Considering the dynamic changes in the CV industry, the trend is shifting from leaf springs towards air spring. Keeping these changing dynamics in mind, company is planning to launch a new range of
suspension products in future. Today, I am absolutely excited to be launching the new Trailer Mechanical Suspension with Lift Axle along with the Lift Axle allied components. I hope that just like the leaf springs, our loyal distributors will continue to sell these exciting range of suspension solutions too.”

Sunil Laroiya, VP-R&D, said “ Our Trailer Mechanical Suspension & Lift Axles are made up of high-strength material and are best in its class due to its superior build quality. We are introducing this product with a combination of parabolic leaf springs, which is yet not done in India till
now by any company. The Lift Axle weighs about 200-250 kgs which helps in lifting the axles. This helps in increasing the life of tyres and other suspension parts and increases the mileage of a vehicle. We have also launched Air Bellows, which is tested in our R&D facility for over 20 Lakhs Cycle.”

JAI Managing Director P S Jauhar said, “The Company plans to grow with 2 strategies in major focus – Product Range and Market Reach. The company strives to grow exponentially in the next three years by increasing CPV (Content Per Vehicle) to become complete suspension system supplier. The company wants its Distributor, Retailers and Mechanics to increase their SCPV (Sales Content Per Vehicle) to achieve these milestones. ”
