Global cockpit electronics leader Visteon has opened new technical centre in Bangalore, India. It was inaugurated by Visteon’s Senior Vice President Matt Cole in the presence of SEZ officials, Visteon India leaders and employees. The centre will collaborate closely with Visteon’s global technology centres and will support the company’s development of advanced technologies such as cybersecurity, Android-based infotainment, AUTOSAR, driver awareness systems and autonomous vehicle technologies for regional and global customer applications.
“Visteon is experiencing significant growth in key technology areas such as infotainment, cockpit domain controllers and autonomous technology just to name a few,” said Cole. “Our new technical center in Bangalore provides us access to highly capable resources to deliver the next generation of products that our customers require.”
The new technology center consolidates employees from two previously separate sites in Bangalore and complements the company’s technical centres in Chennai, Pune and Goa. With capacity for 200 employees, the facility also houses state-of-the-art lab facilities supporting infotainment systems, audio, radiofrequency, cybersecurity and driver monitoring systems development.
There are exciting career opportunities available for engineers with an experience level of four to eight years in the areas of android infotainment, AUTOSAR, C++, computer vision, machine learning, artificial intelligence and security, said Visteon.
