Kamal Bali, Managing Director and Member of Board, Volvo India,
will be Special Invitee at the Asian Tyre & Rubber Conference (ATRC
2019). He will deliver the Special Invitee Address in the Inaugural
Session of the Conference on June 20, 2019. The two-day ATRC 2019 will
be held at Hyatt Regency in Chennai, India on June 20 and 21.
Anant Goenka, Managing Director of CEAT Tyres, will inaugurate the conference and deliver the Keynote Inaugural Address.
Tom Thomas, Executive Director, Technology & Projects, CEAT Tyres, is the Chairman of ATRC 2019. The event is organized by Tyre Asia, the internationally popular tyre industry magazine published by Asian Business Media (ABM). This will be the 5th edition of ATRC.
The Volvo leader’s presence at ATRC 2019 will add to its value as Volvo represents cutting edge technology in global automobile industry. The theme of the conference is “Automation Technology: Future Reality in Manufacturing.”
Kamal Bali joined the Volvo Group in India in April 2014, as Managing Director and a Board member of the company. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, predominantly in the automotive industry, Kamal has worked for well-known Indian brands and established multinational corporations in India. He has had an insightful experience in the functional areas of sales, marketing and supply chain, before taking over P&L responsibilities in the year 2002.
An engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kamal began his professional career as a management trainee with the Eicher Group in 1981. Prior to spearheading the Volvo Group in India, Kamal was working as President & CEO of Singapore Technologies (STK) in India, establishing the brand LeeBoy. He has accumulated precious cross-functional knowledge, is respected for his values’ based leadership and professionalism with strong ethos.
Kamal is a thought leader and an active speaker at various national and international forums. Currently, he also holds the following positions:-
