Zen Microsystems, a Pune (India)-based company, that has been active in automotive testing for over the past 18 years, now offers testing solutions for BS-VI. It will build a small test track and testing house to cater to the entire testing services for automotive OEMs, Ashish Samant, Chief Executive Officer, Zen Microsystems, told AutoParts Asia.
“We are into automotive testing since 2001. We are the distributor for a few European companies in India and we have a wide customer base. We cater to the automotive industry including two and three-wheelers, cars, commercial vehicles, special vehicles, tyre manufacturers and certifying authorities. The company takes up the entire testing projects from the OEMs, does the testing, acquires the required data, and submits a technical report. We have the capability to conduct various automotive testing like benchmarking, vehicle performance testing, brake testing, vehicle handling, 4 X 4 vehicle testing (off-road), tyre evaluation etc,” he said.
Zen Microsystems distributes VBOX, and GPS Data Loggers from Racelogic Limited, the UK; Inertial GYRO Sensors from SBG-Systems France; Steering and Pedal Robots from Germany; Test Track Design and Development Projects from IngeAIX, Germany; Infrared Temp sensor from Texense, France; and OBD-II Data Loggers from EXXOTEST, France.
Samant, an Electronics Engineer, has been working in the field of automotive safety and vehicle testing for over a decade. He has vast experience in crash testing technology, high-speed photography, and in handling various kinds of technical analysis software.
Easy To Use
Racelogic, a UK-based company and pioneer and specialist in GPS, CAN, and video technology, produces high accuracy data loggers, speed sensors, displays, video data loggers, and input modules for vehicle testing (VBOX & Video VBOX), motorsport (VBOX, Video VBOX, PerformanceBox) and GPS device testing (LabSat). The VBOX Data Loggers supplied by Zen Microsystems can be used to test BS-VI vehicles. “We can also take up projects to carry out extensive field testing required for BS-VI. The OBD-II Data Loggers from EXXOTEST, France, is a new product range suitable for BS-VI testing. We have a sub-agent network in India, which caters to other regions for automotive business,” he said.
Zen Microsystems takes up complete testing projects.“We hire out our equipment for special events and academic events. We can conduct tyre testing, tyre evaluation, tyre mileage testing, performance and benchmark testing, vehicle handling and customised testing,” Samant said.
